Illinois Valley Cellular's
Scholastic Scholarship Winners
Marseilles, Illinois—Illinois Valley
Cellular has announced the names of winners
for this year’s Scholastic Scholarship. The
13 Scholars were selected from among over
200 candidates nominated by 35 High
Schools. Each recipient will receive a
scholarship in the amount of $1000.oo. To
qualify the candidate had to reside in one
of the following Illinois Valley Cellular
servicing counties: LaSalle, Bureau,
Putnam, Stark, Marshall, Livingston, Ford,
or Iroquois. The scholars were each
recognized at their respective high school
awards ceremony.
Illinois Valley Cellular wishes to
congratulate the following High School
Seniors. Catherine Wilcoxson, LaSalle Peru,
Andrew Bellino, St. Bede, Brandon Kurtis
Bell, Ottawa, Jeff Bradley, Streator, Ashley
Henson, Iroquois West, Nicole Tisdell, Stark
County, Kevin Zebarth, Gibson
City-Melvin-Sibley, Alexandra Wright, Henry-Senachwine,
Marissa Nelson, Midland, Janean Wujek,
Putnam County, Laura Krabill, Princeton,
Ryan Nett, Hall, and John Patrick Block,
Tri-Point.
Illinois Valley Cellular created
this scholarship over 12 years ago to show
their commitment to serving the communities
within their 8 county home coverage area in
their support of higher education. “When
considering a candidate for a scholarship,
several factors should be considered: the
probability of academic success, dedication
to school and community, motivation and high
standards, and an honorable character,” said
Melissa Eller, Director of Marketing and
Promotions. “All of the above exuded all of
these qualities. This is just another way
